Here's an overview of my recent visit to Glenstone. What You Need To Know Before Visiting Glenstone and Tips For Getting Tickets!
Recently, I visited Glenstone Museum. Tickets are FREE but you MUST reserve them months in advance for admission into Glenstone. The museum only releases a limited amount of tickets each day (keep this in mind). This is a great idea in my opinion. Glenstone was not crowded and you're able to really embrace the experience without feeling crowded. You're greeted by a host/hostess an given a overview in the main lobby. Glenstone has art installations inside and outside (art, architecture, and landscape). Glenstone is a very unique museum with a variety of cool creations. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful scenery. Jeff Koons 37 ft flower creation was my favorite installation. You can see this towering attraction from miles away. It's a great photo op for social media. There are a few cafes on site for guest who want food or drinks. Kind in mind cafes usually don't open until noon. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Also, dress according to the weather. On hot or rainy days, complimentary umbrellas are available for guest. The museum is only open Thursday thru Sunday. Backpacks must be put into lockers for some installations (lockers are FREE). Parking at Glenstone is FREE. Glenstone is located outside of D.C. in Potomac, Maryland (which is about 15 miles from Downtown Washington, D.C.). The Glenstone is one of the DMV (DC, Maryland, & Virginia) best hidden gem attractions! I really enjoyed my visit to the Glenstone Museum.
How to get tickets: Tickets are released every first of the month at 10:00 a.m. on Glenstone website. Trust me,tickets go very fast! Be committed to securing your tickets once they release.
